Releasing my very first single is like a milestone to me, being an average Nigerian girl, facing the self-same hurdles of pursuing your dream and passion, not giving in to the pressure to give up or change course and direction, also having to spend months and years in silence without seemingly making any progress.
"Baba" is my own way of acknowledging that despite the struggles and challenges, I didn't come this far by my own prowess!
The lyrics of the song come from a deep understanding that although we all want to be rich, take care of family and become the head of affairs in our lives, while we chase and clamour and reach for the gold and success. "The power to make wealth is given"... And when we connect and embrace that source, we would all be compensated, eventually!
